SUMMARY:SAMPRAVAH’26-The flagship annual event by SGPA
DESCRIPTION:SAMPRAVAH’26: Three Days of Conversations, Policy, Culture and Youth Engagement at XIM University\nThe School of Governance and Public Affairs (SGPA), XIM University, Bhubaneswar, is set to organise SAMPRAVAH’26, its flagship annual event, from 28 to 30 September 2026 at the XIM University New Campus, Bhubaneswar. The three-day event is envisioned as a dynamic platform for students, experts, policymakers and the wider academic community to engage in meaningful conversations on governance, public policy, leadership, creativity and culture.\nUnder the overarching spirit of “Conversations That Shape Perspectives”, SAMPRAVAH’26 brings together three distinctive segments—Policy Talk, NIRMAN and SANGAM—reflecting the event’s vision to Engage, Empower and Elevate.\n \nPolicy Talk – Shaping India’s Future\nThe event will commence on 28 September 2026 with the Policy Talk, themed “Shaping India’s Future: The Role of Policy, Business and Institutions.” The session will provide an opportunity to examine the interplay between public policy, businesses and institutions in shaping India’s economic and developmental trajectory. Distinguished speakers from academia and industry will share their perspectives, followed by a moderated interaction with students. The session is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Seminar Hall–4, International Centre 2, and is open to UG and PG students of XIM University.\n \nNIRMAN – Youth Parliament and Policy Simulation\nThe second day, 29 September 2026, will feature NIRMAN, a Youth Parliament and Policy Simulation designed to bring democratic governance to life for young participants. The initiative encourages critical thinking, informed dialogue, ethical debate, leadership and civic responsibility while providing participants with an immersive experience of parliamentary proceedings.\nParticipants will take on the roles of Members of Parliament and engage in parliamentary debates, policy discussions, legislative proposals, amendments, voting and procedural interventions. The simulation will include elements such as Question Hour, Zero Hour, Introduction of Bills, Parliamentary Debate, Motions and Amendments, Voting and Division, Points of Order and Speaker-led Moderation.\nNIRMAN will be held from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM at Seminar Hall–3, International Centre–2, and is open to school and university students. Participants will be assessed on parliamentary procedure, oratory and articulation, policy analysis, rebuttal and questioning, leadership and teamwork, professionalism and democratic decorum.\n \nSANGAM – Where Tradition Meets Innovation\nThe concluding day, 30 September 2026, will celebrate creativity and cultural expression through SANGAM, a vibrant cultural event themed “UDAAN – The Spirit of Young India.” SANGAM seeks to bring together diverse forms of artistic expression, blending tradition with modernity in a celebration of passion, creativity and community.\nThe cultural segment will feature competitions including AARZOO (singing), ASTITVA (acting and storytelling), KSHITIJ (solo dance) and SAMANVAY (group dance). Participants will have opportunities to showcase their individual talents as well as teamwork and creative expression.\nSANGAM will be held from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Mini Auditorium and is open to school and university students.\n \nThree Days. Three Events. One Vision.\nWith its blend of policy dialogue, experiential learning, democratic simulation and cultural expression, SAMPRAVAH’26 seeks to create an engaging platform where young minds can exchange ideas, develop perspectives and express their creativity. The three-day flagship event reflects SGPA’s commitment to nurturing informed, responsible and engaged young citizens while creating meaningful opportunities for dialogue and collaboration.\n \nEvent: SAMPRAVAH’26\nOrganised by: School of Governance and Public Affairs (SGPA), XIM University\nDates: 28–30 September 2026\nVenue: XIM University New Campus, Bhubaneswar\nSegments: Policy Talk | NIRMAN | SANGAM\n
