DESCRIPTION:HabituX, the student association of the School of Human Settlements (SHS), XIM University, Bhubaneswar, is organizing its annual student fest UNNOVATIONS’26 on 9th – 10th October 2026. This “festival of urban ideas and innovations” invites college and university students to engage and ideate on urban sustainability challenges through a variety of academic and cultural competitions. It is a vibrant platform for students across the country to compete and showcase their creativity, intellect, and interpersonal skills across a spectrum of engaging events.\nThis year there UNNOVATIONS is hosting a total of 6 competitions:\n\nDream City- This is a case competition that tries reimagine the future of our cities through bold, practical solutions. The competition tries to tackle real‐world urban water challenges with the theme ‘From Flood to Flow: Reimagining Urban Water Management.’\nThe Mayor’s Discourse- This is an oratorial competition that expects participants to deliver a powerful speech as the Mayor of their city on the theme, ‘Digitization of Urban Municipal Governance and Service Delivery’.\nQuizzite- This is a fast-paced quiz that tests the teams knowledge and quick thinking on concepts related to urban life, and everyday surroundings.\nShutterbug- This is a photography competition that expects participants to capture the untold journeys of the city through their lens. The theme for this year is, ‘Migration & the City.’\nFace It On- This is a face- painting competition that requires participants to unleash their inner artist and transform the face of their teammate into a colourful, imaginative masterpieces related to urban life.\nRhythm- This is dance competition that expects participants to tell stories through dance performances.\n\nTo make things even more thrilling, UNNOVATIONS ’26 offers exciting cash prizes for winners across all events!\n \nThe Registration link for UNNOVATIONS ’26- https://unnovations.shs-xim.tech\n \n \n
