- Candidates who have secured the 1st, 2nd or 3rd position (i.e., any of the top three ranks, at the College / Institute / University) in their undergraduate program can apply without any Admission Test score by filling the Online Application Form. A certificate from the Head of the Institution stating their rank/ position must be furnished to that effect when asked for.
- Candidates with a three-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline with at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University can apply with a valid Admission Test score.
- Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Planning, Geography (Hons.), and Economics (Hons.) with minimum 55% marks in aggregate AND candidates from other disciplines with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in their three-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) program are also encouraged to apply.
All shortlisted candidates (for all categories mentioned in this section) will have to appear for a Writing Ability Test and/or Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview.
Final year degree students, who expect to complete their final examinations and other requirements for obtaining the degree by June 15, 2022, can also apply.
The minimum requirement for admission to the Program is a three-year Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in any discipline with at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University. Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically cancelled in the event of their failing to complete all the requirements for obtaining the degree before June 15, 2022.
The Institute will decide the section-wise as well as overall cut-off marks which will be used for short-listing the candidates to be called for Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. WAT, GD & PI will be held in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. Candidates will have to meet their own travel expenses for appearing in the Interview session. The final selection will be made on the basis of the candidate's performance in the XAT/CAT/GMAT/X-GMT/NMAT as well as in the Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview (which factors in the past academic record and relevant work experience).

B.E/B.Tech (Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electrical/ Electronics/Mechanical) or M. Sc. (Computer Science/ Information Technology) or MCA (with Physics and Mathematics/ Statistics at B. Sc. Level), or MBA (or equiv.), with at least 55% marks in aggregate, or equivalent, from a recognized University. Candidates with M.Sc. degree, with a sound background in Mathematics and/or Statistics with coding knowledge can apply. Final year (qualifying degree) students, who expect to complete their final examinations and other requirements for obtaining the degree by June 15, 2022, can also apply.

- Candidates from any other disciplines with at least 60% marks in aggregate and with a demonstrable experience and interest in Urban and Regional Planning may also apply.

The eligible candidates will have to appear for a written test/write a statement of purpose and appear for the personal interview at the School of communications/over digital platform. Candidates for the program will be selected based on the performance in the aptitude test/statement of purpose, personal interview, undergraduate degree marks and own creative works (such as art works, news items, photography & videography, campaigns, event coordination, leadership, acting skills, music and other).
The eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on academic credentials and/or extracurriculars and/or Xavier Engineering Entrance Examination (XEEE) score and/or Statement of Purpose (SoP). The shortlisted candidates will be invited for Personal Interview leading to the final unified selection.
The eligible candidates will have to appear for personal interview to be conducted by XIM University. The final selection will be based on the evaluation of Statement of Purpose, candidate's performance in the Personal Interview, and will take into account the past academic record and relevant work experience.
The selection of eligible candidates will be based on performance in an entrance test OR an interview. Candidates will be tested on the basis of their knowledge of Mathematics, Statistics, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics at a level commensurate with the UGC CBCS syllabus of B.A./B.Sc. Economics program.
The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for personal interview to be conducted by XIM University. The final selection will be based on candidate's performance in the Personal Interview, and the past academic record.

About XIM University
Xavier University was established on July 6, 2013 as per the provisions of the Xavier University, Odisha Act, 2013.
