Journal of Case Research is published from the Centre for Case Research(XIMB-CCR). The Centre focuses on contextual research in the area of management and social sciences. Prime objective of the Journal is to create a platform for academicians & researchers to publish their case based contextually rich research works.
The XIMB-CCR was set up in 2005 as a Centre of Excellence at Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar; a reputed Management School in India. Over the last few years, it has operated as a small group and worked on developing high quality cases. It has attempted to understand and improve the quality of case research in India. Objective of the CCR has been to undertake the dual role of conducting various case based researches (CBR) and of developing CBR as a distinct methodology of research within the sphere of management and social science research. The research findings of this centre have been disseminated in the form of working papers, conference papers, journal publication and book publication. Through this effort, the centre has been contributing to the intellectual capital of the researchers involved in the various studies and the overall intellectual capital of management/ social science scholars in XIMB and other academic/ research institutes in India & abroad.
