The 2nd Faculty Workshop (18-19 May, 2026) on Regenerative Science & Methodology of Research Practice, organized by the AIESS Centre under the Regenerative Futures Lab, deepened regenerative dialogue through reflection, interconnectedness, and collective responsibility. Through immersive activities, emotional mapping, systems thinking, and other-centric inquiry, participants reimagined education, research, and coexistence as pathways toward regenerative transformation and meaningful collective futures.

The Faculty Workshop on Regenerative Science & Methodology of Research Practice began with Rethinking Knowledge, Systems & Regeneration, encouraging participants to move beyond fragmented thinking toward interconnected and ecosystemic understanding. Through Racing as One, faculty experienced the importance of collective responsibility and inclusion. Untangle the Tangle introduced systems thinking through collaborative problem-solving, empathy, and coordination, while Webs of Interaction & Intentionality fostered collective sense-making, highlighting interdependence, relational understanding, and regenerative approaches to research, education, practice, and living.

The Fourth International Conference on Regenerative Ecosystems (ICRE 2025) : 2nd – 6th December 2025

The International Conference on Regenerative Ecosystems aims to bring together the existing sustainability frameworks towards developing an eclectic systems framework and paradigm of All Interacting Evolving Systems Science (AIESS) to facilitate Regenerative Systems in the context of specific ecosystems, viz. (a) Natural Ecosystem, (b) Indigenous Ecosystem, (c) Rural Ecosystem, (d) Urban Ecosystem, and (e) Industrial Ecosystem. The AIESS Framework synthesizes the critical pillars of any ecosystem, viz., ecology, social, political, and economic parameters, to develop and propose coherent systemic models for regenerativeness and sustainability. The eight dimensions of these four critical pillars of any ecosystem include Ecology, Social Relationships, Institutions, Governance, Agriculture, Services, Manufacturing, and Organizations.

Objectives:
1. Understand the relationships between among solidarity, fraternity, and social capital in the context of homogenous and heterogenous or diverse socio-cultural settings

 

2. Understand the process(es) that either build or retard solidarity, fraternity, and social capital in a group of people and a small community
DOCUMENTING CASES OF SUCCESSFUL FARMERS ADOPTING INDIGENOUS, CLIMATE RESILIENT AND SUSTAINABLE FARMING PRACTICES IN INDIA – FUNDED BY NABARD, MUMBAI
Objectives:
1. To understand the sustainability features of Farmers, Farming System, and Ecosystem in terms of financial viability, technical relevance, and climate resilient ecosystem of these traditional indigenous farming systems.

 

2. To scientifically document the cases of farmers adopting the traditional indigenous methods with specific reference to their sustainability in net income (short-medium term), farming techniques that empowers the farmers (long term) and ecosystem services (sustainability or inter-generational terms).
COMPREHENSIVE ACTION RESEARCH ON FPOS AT GP LEVEL TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE MULTIPLE DIMENSIONS IMPACTING IT AND CODIFYING THE PROCESSES TO MAKE IT SUSTAINABLE FOR ITS MEMBERS AND COMMUNITY-FUNDED BY NABARD, MUMBAI
Objectives:

The objective of this action research is to understand the challenges and processes of developing a Gram Panchayat (GP) level FPO as a single window institution of farmer producer members for holistic and synergistic development with optimal transaction costs in a given GP.
