A. Odisha Development Sector and CSR Leadership Talk
The panel discussion on “Odisha 2036 – Role of Multi-Stakeholder Initiatives for Sustainable Development” is designed to explore the dynamic landscape of development practices in Odisha, as we prepare for the centennial year of the state. The primary objective is to spotlight the opportunities, challenges, and innovative strategies for achieving sustainable impact. The discussion will encompass various dimensions, including the developmental challenges of Odisha, the pivotal roles played by stakeholders such as corporations, non-governmental organisations, multi-lateral agencies, and government departments, as well as the contributions of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) foundations and philanthropic organisations in driving transformative change. Additionally, it will examine the prospects and potential for collaborative initiatives for development in Odisha.
B. SROI and Social Valuation training and certification
This two-day practitioner certification training provides a comprehensive overview of the SRol and social valuations, along with hands-on experience in impact map development and stakeholder management.
Day one is a practical, step-by-step introduction to the SRol and social valuations process, beginning with theory and going on to the hands-on development of an impact map, the heart of the SRol and social valuations process, and a study of appropriate real-life examples. The main topics to be covered on day one is background and theory; scope and stakeholders; mapping outcomes; evidencing outcomes; valuing outcomes; establishing value and the value calculation.
Day two covers more in-depth aspects of SRol and social valuations including techniques and over-claiming, as well as discussing examples of best practices at different levels of rigour and for different audiences. The main topics covered on day two are: types and sources of valuation (including financial proxies and various valuation techniques); over-claiming; deadweight; displacement; attribution; future value and transparency. There will also be information about reporting, assurance, and accreditation services for SRoI and social valuations reports. The training ends with an overview of useful resources available to help anyone who is interested in measuring social value.
