XIMB – XIM University has announced its MBA Admission 2021 Process. The online application form for all its key MBA Programs such as: MBA-BM, MBA-HRM, MBA-RM, MBA-SM, MBA-UMG; Executive MBA and MBF is open. The last date for online application is December 09, 2020.
What is X- GMT?
X-GMT stands for Xavier General Management Aptitude Test, it is an online-based general management entrance test, that is conducted by XIM University for admission aspirants into the various MBA, Executive MBA and MBF programs offered by the University.
XIM University is a private unitary university located in the State of Odisha. The University has been established in accordance with The Xavier University, Odisha Act, 2013. The University has twelve constituent Schools of higher learning, such as Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (XIMB), School of Human Resource Management, School of Rural Management, School of Sustainability, School of Human Settlements, School of Commerce, School of Communications, School of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Economics, Xavier Law School, School of Governance and Public Affairs and XAVIER-EMLYON Business School.
Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), is a 33-year old constitutent B-School of XIM University. It is acknowledged internationally as a world class business school which provides quality management programmes and develops futuristic managers with strong ethics and values.
The University offers several MBA programs (BM, HRM, RM, SM, UMG); One-Year Full-Time Executive Master’s Program in Business Management (EMBA – BM); several Master programs (Business Finance, Urban & Regional Planning, Data Science & Analytics, Mass Communication, Public Policy and Governance, Economics).
The University accepts the X-GMT as an entrance test for admission to the various MBA, Executive MBA and MBF programs offered by the schools in 2021.

X-GMT Eligibility For Application
To meet the XIMB-XIM University eligibility criteria, an applicant must possess a strong and consistent academic background.
The candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of three years, in any discipline, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA from any recognized University.
Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2021, can also apply.
X-GMT 2021 is scheduled to be held on Sunday, January 31, 2021.
X-GMT Question Pattern for 2021
The X-GMT is a computer-based online test. The duration of the exam will be 120 minutes and the medium of the test is English for all the candidates.
Candidates need to attempt multiple choice questions (MCQs) that will be spread across 4 sections, namely, Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning (VA & LR), Data Interpretation (DI), Emotional Quotient and General Awareness (EQ & GA).
The four sections during the test will appear in random sequence and there will be sectional time limits, which means a candidate must complete a section in a given time. If a candidate finishes any section early, (s)he must wait for the next section to begin and cannot go back to a completed section.
The type and nature of questions will be like the other prominent entrance tests for management education.
Marking Pattern: three marks each will be awarded for every correct answer and one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. No marks for unattempt questions.
X-GMT Application Form
Form Fee
There is no separate form for X-GMT, but the interested applicant has to choose X-GMT as the test option in the common MBA application form, against the academic programs. The minimum application fee is Rs. 1600/- and the additional fee for opting XGMT is ₹1200/-.
Candidates are required to pay the application fee via the payment gateway. One can apply for multiple programs and through multiple tests in a single form.

Candidates applying for X-GMT 2021 are expected to fill up the application form on the University’s official site. The application form can be submitted only once, as multiple forms will be rejected.
Form Requirements
Candidates will need a laptop or personal computer.
A scanned copy of Passport-size photo (200 x 250) and Signature (250 x 125) in JPG or JPEG.
Relevant qualification details.
A functional email ID is also a must as notification and communications will be made through the email. Parents’ email can also be accepted.
Candidates will also require an active mobile number. This would also be used for communication. Parents’ mobile number is also acceptable.
Online payments are to be made with a valid credit or debit card and Net banking. This is compulsory.
Candidates are advised to have hard copies of the documents.
It is also advisable for candidates to go through the Instructions before filling the form.
X-GMT Centers For Admission in 2021
The X-GMT is to be conducted by the University in the following centres Bhubaneswar, Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.
Candidates will get the option of choosing their preferred exam centers while filling the online application form. The final allotment of the exam center can be viewed on the admit card. It must be noted that the institute has the right to change the exam center anytime according to availability of seats. Candidates should reach their exam centers before the reporting time, with their valid admit cards, without which they won’t be allowed to enter the exam hall.
X-GMT 2021 Admission Process
The entrance exam score will be used to shortlist candidates for further examination. The further examination includes, Group Discussion, Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview. The examination will take place at Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, or Hyderabad.
Candidates are responsible for the travel and accommodation expenses for the attendance of the personal interview.
The Final selection will be decided based on the overall performance of the candidates in the entrance exams (XAT/CAT/GMAT/X-GMAT), GD, Writing Ability Test, Personal Interview, past academic record and relevant work experience.
Candidates who have not succeeded in completing all the requirements for obtaining the degree before the due date, June 15, 2021, will automatically forfeit their admission.

The registration deadline for the 2021 application into the various MBA through X-GMT is December 09, 2020.
The examination date is Jan 31, 2021(Sunday).
