MASTER'S PROGRAM IN PUBLIC POLICY & GOVERNANCE
(MPPG)
OFFERED BY SCHOOL OF GOVERNANCE AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS

Eligibility

Bachelor's degree of minimum three-year duration (or equivalent) in any discipline from a recognized University, with at least 55% marks in aggregate (Desirable: Basic exposure to Economics / Mathematics / Statistics / Engineering / Political Science / Social Sciences).

 

Final year degree students, who expect to complete their final examinations and other requirements for obtaining the degree by June 30, 2024, can also apply.

Application

Applicants are required to fill up the online application form at: www.xim.edu.in . Upon successfully filling the online application form and paying the relevant application fee, the applicant will be intimated by email about the acceptance of the form.

Selection Process

The eligible candidates will have to appear for personal interview to be conducted by XIM University. The final selection will be based on the evaluation of Statement of Purpose, candidate's performance in the Personal Interview, and will take into account the past academic record.

Admission

The program will begin by the first week of July 2024 for the first year students. At this time the students will be given a Manual of Policies and Regulations which will be binding on them.

PROGRAM DETAILS
TWO-YEAR FULL-TIME POSTGRADUATE PROGRAM IN PUBLIC POLICY AND GOVERNANCE

The Masters in Public Policy and Governance program is the flagship offering of the School. It has been designed by Xavier University in association with renowned global experts to offer a degree of global standards to participants, and to set them on a higher trajectory of professional and academic growth in the public policy arena.

Among its many course offerings across nine existing Schools XUB treats the Masters in Public Policy and Governance as a defining program for the University and invites the very best students to join the Program that will launch in August 2020. We intend the School to attract many academics and practitioners in the public policy area including elected representatives from Odisha and elsewhere, bureaucrats, administrators, managers and NGO leaders.

CURRICULUM DESIGN

2 year full-time Program leading to the award of a Master in Public Policy and Governance Degree. The first year is dedicated to the study of 16 Core Courses listed below. These Courses are delivered over two Semesters. In the second year participants work on a Capstone Project and a Case Study, apart from a Dissertation.
