
G20 University Connect: Engaging Young Minds with emphasis on ‘Coastal Economy’
XIM University is one of the 75 Universities chosen by the Ministry of External Affairs, and the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), Government of India, to participate in the celebration of the G20 summit under India’s Presidency.
‘G20 University Connect: Engaging Young Minds,’ is one of the programmes initiated to commemorate India’s presidency. The aim of this programme is to spread awareness of the themes surrounding the G20 summit.
As part of this programme, XIM University organised a public lecture on the theme, “Coastal Economy: Ingredients for the Convivial Future of Marine Fisheries in the Context of Blue Costal Economy,’ on July 21, 2023 (10.30 am-01.30 pm) in the University Auditorium. The keynote address was delivered by Prof. John Kurien, an eminent thinker, writer, and a change champion.
Besides the inaugural and the keynote address, there was a panel discussion led by four persons representing international and national organisations and the community.
On behalf of the University, this event was jointly organised and coordinated by the School of Governance and Public Affairs(SGPA) and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
