Raksha Bandhan Celebration Programme by NSS Unit-I
Raksha Bandhan celebrated care, protection, affection and human connection. NSS Unit-1, XIM University celebrated “Raksha Bandhan” with the children of Primary School, Niranjanpur on 12 th September 2026. The programme was designed to extend the spirit of Rakhi beyond family relationships through friendship, inclusion, mutual respect and community engagement. The celebration will provide a joyful platform for interaction between NSS volunteers and school children while encouraging empathy, social responsibility and a sense of belonging among participants.
Theme of the Programme:
“Threads of Care: Celebrating Bonds Beyond Boundaries” . The theme presents Rakhi as a symbol of friendship, care, dignity, emotional support and community bonding beyond blood relationships.
Objectives:
- Create joy, belonging and togetherness among the children.
- Promote meaningful interaction between NSS volunteers and students.
- Encourage values of care, protection, fraternity and mutual respect.
- Develop empathy and social responsibility among XIM University students.
- Engage children through cultural, recreational and interactive activities.
- Strengthen NSS Unit-1’s community engagement initiatives.
