About National Cadet Corps (NCC)

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a Tri-Services organization comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force. It is dedicated to grooming the youth of the nation into disciplined, responsible and patriotic citizens.

The NCC is a prominent youth development movement with immense potential to contribute towards nation-building by instilling leadership qualities, discipline and a spirit of service among the youth.

The NCC provides young people with opportunities for holistic development, fostering a strong sense of duty, commitment, dedication, discipline and moral values. These qualities enable cadets to emerge as capable leaders and responsible citizens of the nation.

The NCC offers cadets exposure to a wide range of activities, with particular emphasis on social service, discipline, adventure training and character development, thereby preparing them to face challenges with confidence and responsibility.

VISION

Empower volunteer youth to become potential leaders and responsible citizens of the country.

MISSION

To develop leadership and character qualities, mould discipline and nurture social integration and cohesion through multi-faceted programs conducted in a military environment.

AIMS OF NCC:

To develop qualities of Character, Courage, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure and Sportsmanship, besides the ideals of Selfless Service among the youth to make them useful citizens.
To create human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed Forces and always be available for the service of the Nation.
To Provide an environment Conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.

“UNITY AND DISCIPLINE” – This motto reflects the core values that NCC aims to install in cadets- promoting national unity and maintaining discipline in all aspects of life.

WE THE CADET OF THE NATIONAL CADET CORPS,
DO SOLEMNLY PLEDGE THAT WE SHALL ALWAYS UPHOLD THE UNITY OF INDIA.
WE RESOLVE TO BE DISCIPLINED AND RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN OF OUR NATION.
WE SHALL UNDERTAKE POSITIVE COMMUNITY SERVICE IN THE SPIRIT OF SELFLESSNESS
AND CONCERN FOR OUR FELLOW BEINGS.

NCC Activities, Events and Achievements

Activities and Events

Lt Colonel Nitin Sahai, Officer Commanding, 10 (O) BN NCC, Berhampur briefed the NCC cadets at XIM University campus on 26 August 2026.

Sub. A.K Sethi and Sub. Manas Pradhan from 10 (O) BN NCC, Berhampur, visited the XIM University campus for NCC cadets selection and enrolment on 10 September 2026.

Flood Relief Distribution-The NCC Unit, XIM University, undertook a Flood Relief Distribution activity as part of its commitment to community service, social responsibility, and humanitarian assistance. NCC cadets of XIM University distributed dry food and essential supplies to families affected by the flooding of the Baitarani and Brahmani rivers in Jajpur District, Odisha, on 12 September 2026.
