St. Francis Xavier, an original founding companion of the society of jesus, served as the secretary of the society until leaving for India in 1541. St.Xavier ranks amongst the greatest missionaries in christian history. He is known to have lived his life with zeal for the Greater Glory of God.
St. Xavier conducted his work in the spirit of Magis. He is most honoured by the catholic churches, the Jesuit order for his missionary accomplishments.
