Seminar on “India@100 – Pathways towards a more humane future”
The Centre for Humanities and Compassion Studies has scheduled a seminar on Saturday 28 January 2023 morning from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the LG-2 Hall, IC-2 Building XIM University, Bhubaneswar, new campus. The seminar “India@100 – Pathways towards a more humane future” focuses on understanding some of the key challenges in front of the country for the next 25 years from multiple perspectives as we are moving toward the centenary year of independence in 2047
There are four very eminent speakers –
- Social scientist, Prof. Shiv Viswanathan – Vice Dean and Executive Director, Centre for the Study of Knowledge Systems, OP Jindal Global University, Sonepat
- Political scientist, Prof. Balveer Arora – Professor Emeritus and Chairman, Centre for Multilevel Federalism, Institute of Social Sciences, New Delhi. Former Pro-Vice Chancellor JNU
- Economist, Prof. Partha Mukhopadhaya – Professor, Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi and former member of the Prime Minister’s Task Force on Infrastructure
- Environmentalist, Dr Jayanta Basu – Environment and Climate Columnist, The Telegraph Kolkata and Visiting Professor, Calcutta University
