XIM University’s IQAC & HR Department organized a series of Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) in May 2026, aimed at strengthening faculty competencies in emerging technology and personal wellbeing.
The first session, held on 21st May for faculty of the Old Campus, focused on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Sensitization.” This was followed by a two-day programme on 22–23 May for New Campus faculty on the same theme. Both sessions were facilitated by Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Talwar, Prof. Pitabas Mohanty, and Dr. Fr. Maria Joseph Israel SJ, who guided participants through the evolving AI landscape, its applications in teaching, research, and academic administration, and the importance of responsible and ethical AI adoption. Faculty members engaged in interactive discussions on integrating AI tools into their academic practices while upholding academic integrity and data privacy.
On 28 May, a dedicated programme on “Mental/Emotional Wellbeing and Stress Management” was conducted for New Campus faculty by Dr. Pooja Mohanty of XLRI. The session covered emotional awareness, anger management, suicide prevention, and the psychological challenges faced by today’s students, equipping faculty with practical strategies to support both their own wellbeing and that of their students.
Together, the three programmes reaffirmed XIM University’s commitment to continuous professional development, digital transformation, and fostering a supportive academic community.
