We are overwhelmed by the response we received for the donation drive Pratidan and we would like to thank everyone who made generous contributions towards it.
With the help of the fund raised we had started procurement of sanitizers and other contents of the sanitation kit. Also, the SHG women were able to raise some income in such trying times by preparing masks that we intended to donate.
Pratidan’s PPE Distribution Drive was successfully conducted on June 8, with an aim to alleviate the sanitation conditions of the local people in need. The drive started on 12th May and saw continuous fruitful results through out.
We received a footfall of 200+ people from Nijigada, Harirajpur, Kanti, Bahilipada and Niranjanpur areas and saw enthusiastic participation from the faculties, University staff and security as well. Special thanks to Siba Jena, Ajay Mohapatra, Subhasis Das and Arabind Barik and SRC – Social Responsibility Cell of XUB who helped in the entire process.
A total of 248 PPE kits were distributed among the local people and the University staff. We would like to thank everyone who was involved in this event, from those who donated to those who helped us in procurement, to the volunteers and our staff. The event would not have been possible without them.
The overall enthusiastic participation, support and interest from all the stakeholders involved has given us the impetus to conduct more such events in the future and leave the world a bit better than it was before.
